MobiOcean Selects NEXT Biometrics Fingerprint Technology for Aadhaar Payment Solution
NEXT Biometrics (Oslo Bors: NEXT), a global leader in fingerprint sensor technology, today announced that the Company`s Aadhaar-certified sensor module has been chosen by MobiOcean Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for use in MobiOcean`s Aadhaar authentication and Aadhaar payments mobile platform for the Indian market.
The NEXT STQC and UIDAI certified sensor is part of MobiOcean`s Point of Sale (POS) solution comprised of hardware, software, service and maintenance. The MobiOcean POS solution facilitates Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) applications for government authorities and merchants allowing users to conduct payment transactions by simply using a person`s Aadhaar number and fingerprint authentication, thereby increasing both security and convenience of payments. The device also supports credit card, debit card, UPI (Unified Payments Interface), wallet and a range of other payment forms.
