METRO BANK CEO RECOGNISED AS TOP 10 CEO BY GLASSDOOR

Craig Donaldson, Chief Executive Officer at Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, has today been named by Glassdoor as one of its top ten UK CEOs of 2018, as part of its ‘Employees’ Choice Awards’.

Achieving an approval rating of 97% on one of the world’s largest job and recruitment sites, this is the third consecutive year Craig has been recognised within the list of 50 leaders, achieving the top spot in 2016. Based on the voluntary and anonymous feedback of current and former colleagues over the past year, among the 770,000 companies reviewed, the average CEO approval rating was 69%.

Commenting on the recognition, Vernon Hill, Founder and Chairman at Metro Bank said: “Craig is a natural leader, who does the best by his colleagues, his customers and his bank. He genuinely believes in and lives by our culture, which means he creates FANS of those around him. I’m delighted to see him once again being recognised by such a prominent organisation as Glassdoor.

Winning a Glassdoor Top CEO award is a true acknowledgement of exceptional leadership, as it reflects the opinions of the employees who work with a chief executive every day. I congratulate all of this year’s winners on this significant achievement,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor co-founder and CEO. “It can be a real recruiting advantage to have a top-rated CEO at the helm of a company who has strong support from his or her employees. The best CEOs are inspiring, trustworthy, innovative and can be great motivators for people to bring their best selves to work.”

Metro Bank is also the only high street bank to be recognised on Glassdoor’s 2018 ‘Best Place to Work’ list.
