Matica is in the top 30% of our CSR Performers, says EcoVadis

An independent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment has awarded Matica Technologies a silver endorsement for integrating CSR principles into its business.

Matica Technologies AG has been awarded a ‘silver-level’ by global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings organization, EcoVadis, for managing its associated policies. This amounts to belonging to the world’s best 30% performers, as rated by EcoVadis.

In association with Gemalto, the assessment looked at CSR areas such as the working environment, social, ethics and the supply chain. EcoVadis assessed a series of variables across Matica to ensure it complies with the principles they determine to be important. These include:

  • Environment: energy consumption / materials, chemicals and waste / air emissions.
  • Social: health & safety / working conditions / labor relations / non-discrimination.
  • Ethics: corruption & bribery / anti-competitive practices / fair marketing.
  • Supply chain: environment / labor practices and human rights.

EcoVadis assesses the environmental and social performance of global suppliers across 110 countries and creates scorecards covering 21 CSR indicators and 150 commodities. This allows companies to compare their suppliers’ CSR performance. EcoVadis serves more than 100 global multinationals, including household names such as Axa, Coca Cola Enterprises, Heineken, Johnson & Johnson, Renault-Nissan and Verizon.

It was a mandatory assessment which we were happy to undertake for our client, Gemalto SA, and we were very pleasantly rewarded with the results,” said Sandro Camilleri, CEO, Matica Technologies Group. “Belonging to the top 30% of CSR performers, as evaluated by EcoVadis, is a huge accolade and I’m proud of our great team who incorporate these considerations into their work.”
