Martyn Atkinson Joins Lloyds Banking Group as Chief Information Officer – Consumer Relationships and Mass Affluent
Martyn Atkinson has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer – Consumer Relationships and Mass Affluent at Lloyds Banking Group.

Atkinson has expressed eagerness to collaborate with Jayne Opperman and the executive team in advancing the consumer relationships strategy. This will be achieved with the help of his new CIO leadership, and he is thrilled to be a part of the Group COO leadership team.
As Chief Information Officer – Consumer Relationships and Mass Affluent, Atkinson will oversee the development and implementation of consumer relationships and engagement strategies for mass affluent clients. This will involve coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experiences across channels.
Atkinson brings extensive experience in business and technology leadership to the role. Before returning to Lloyds Banking Group, he was the Group Chief Operating Officer at the Close Brothers Group. He also served as Chief Information Officer at Metro Bank UK and Head of Transformation at Nationwide Building Society.
With Atkinson’s appointment, Lloyds Banking Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and customer-centricity. The company’s consumer relationships strategy is expected to progress under Atkinson’s leadership, further cementing the Group’s position as a leader in the financial industry.
