Lloyds Bank’s Asset Finance Broker Team Expands

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has welcomed two new members to its asset finance broker team to support its growth ambitions.

Based in Glasgow, Steven Teague and Christie Bell join the growing asset finance team as Lloyds Bank increases its overall broker offering.

Over the last few months the team has undertaken strategic initiatives to improve its proposition to brokers including maintaining competitive pricing, speeding up turnaround times, reducing information requirements and generally improving flexibility.

Commenting on the new appointments, Alan MacRae, Broker Director at Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance, said: “This is an exciting time for my team and the brokers we work with. We have a clear focus on growth but we know that people are our biggest asset and we are delighted to welcome Steven and Christie to the team.

Their appointments will allow us to focus on delivering the high quality service that our brokers need, which will help them and their clients to prosper.”

The appointments of Steven and Christie will help to boost the asset finance business, bolstered by a wider broker offering from Lloyds Bank. Launched earlier this year, brokers who introduce their clients to the lender’s invoice finance services are now set to receive a 40 per cent share of the service fee for the lifetime of the bank’s relationship with the business.

Steven Teague, who joins the team as a broker executive, began his banking career in 2010 and has since worked at both Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, specialising in commercial finance and broker support.

He said: “Having previously worked with broker support at Lloyds Bank I’ve been able to develop strong relationships with key firms and their brokers. With the enhancements to our broker offering we are able to have better quality conversations with our brokers and work more closely with them. I’m confident that my experience will allow me to help my brokers exceed their targets and build on their success.”

Newly appointed Christie Bell, who also joins as a broker executive, started working at Bank of Scotland in 2011 and similarly has previously held roles at Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance.

She said: “With one of the most competitive offers on the market Lloyds Banks Asset Finance Broker business has invested heavily in ensuring that the service we offer our brokers is also enhanced. I’m looking forward to working alongside the rest of the team to build on these existing relationships and create new ones with our brokers.
