Krungsri Finnovate introduces ‘Meet the Angels by Krungsri Finnovate’ project to support Thai startups through business matching during COVID-19 crisis

Krungsri Finnovate holds the Meet the Angels by Krungsri Finnovate forum connecting angel investors with startups through virtual pitching, a win-win synergy that gives the Thai startups a boost amid the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

Mr. Sam Tanskul, Managing Director of Krungsri Finnovate Co., Ltd. stated “Krungsri Finnovate has always been an active catalyst in the startup ecosystem, supporting startups toward success. We realize the magnitude of the challenges in this time of crisis, in particular for new rising startups. However, we are well aware that potential and capability are rarely an issue for the Thai startups when it comes to driving their growth. Funding, on the other hand, could be their main obstacle. We, therefore, are leveraging our network of established investors – whose focused goal is to invest in high potential businesses – to maximize benefits for all parties involved by facilitating business matching between startups and angel investors through virtual pitching. At this online event, startups can pitch their business ideas to angel investors while receiving real-time feedback so as to find their right match for further business expansion.”

The virtual pitching under the ‘Meet the Angels by Krungsri Finnovate’ project will be organized twice a month (every other Wednesday), at 20.00-22.00 hrs., starting 29 April 2020 when positive feedback from almost 100 Thai startups and angel investors was received. For each virtual pitching session, Krungsri Finnovate will select 5-6 startup teams to pitch to participating angel investors and be available to provide consultancy to them.
