KMD EXPANDS IN SCANDINAVIA
KMD’s international ambitions materialize now in the Danish IT group’s first major international investment. The company has just acquired the Norwegian IT group Banqsoft AS dealing with software for the financial sector. Banqsoft headquarters in Norway and offices in Sweden, Finland and Poland. In addition to an international dimension, the acquisition also strategically important for KMD’s growth ambitions in the business segment.
KMD’s considerable experience in business-critical software solutions, data security and handling of large amounts of data is a good strategic fit with the financial sector. After a series of acquisitions in Denmark makes KMD now has its first major international investment. The Danish IT group has just taken over the Norwegian IT group Banqsoft AS.
“For KMD is the acquisition a milestone. We have over a long period both organically and through acquisitions strengthened our Danish business. Now we are taking the first major international step. Banqsoft is a growing company and gives us a good Scandinavian presence.At the same time we can allocate skilled competencies in the financial sector, where we have the ambition to grow,” says KMD’s CEO.
