InvestEngine Launches Second Crowdfunding Round – Surpasses Target in 24 Hours

Following a successful crowdfunding campaign in April 2022 and a strong year of growth, Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) investment platform InvestEngine has launched a second crowdfunding round on Crowdcube.

The global market for ETFs has experienced phenomenal momentum in the last 5 years. InvestEngine is dedicated to this booming market, partnering ETFs with its proprietary technology. Through this, the fintech brings great value, excellent diversification, and simply-powerful investing automation to investors.

In April 2022, InvestEngine’s first Crowdcube campaign welcomed 1,120 investors and closed in just 7 days, raising £1.3m. Since then, the fintech has seen many milestones and achievements, including:

  • Quadrupling its active users to over 23,000
  • Assets under administration almost tripled to £150m (a 260% increase on the previous year)
  • Receiving more than 3,000 five-star reviews across TrustPilot, Smart Money People & the App Stores
  • Doubling its users and tripling its assets under administration during its highly successful 2022 ISA campaign
  • Being identified as 1 of only 4 UK investment platforms to achieve growth in 2022 (Direct Matters Fundscape report)

InvestEngine’s second crowdfunding round – which was targeted at £1.25 million – will aid the fintech in becoming investors’ ETF distributor of choice for the world’s leading ETF providers, leveraging the global reach of asset managers including BlackRock, Invesco and Vanguard.

Within the first 24 hours of it being opened, InvestEngine has already surpassed its target and is now in the overfunding stage, having raised around £1.26 million from over 280 investors.

It will also support InvestEngine as it moves into new exciting areas this year – including savings plans, workplace investing, and self-invested personal pensions – enabling more people in the UK to utilise ETFs as a means of growing their wealth and reaching their long-term financial goals.

The popularity of InvestEngine’s first public fundraising was testament to the opportunity in ETF investing, with global ETF assets soaring past $10trn in 2021 and forecast to grow 17% annually in 2026. 2022 saw a $1.5 trillion gap in the flow of money from old-school Mutual Funds in favour of ETFs.

Pre-registration for the round went live 9th March 2023 – where InvestEngine saw around 1,400 sign up. The crowdfund will go public today, 22nd March 2023. Those who wish to register can still do so at https://www.crowdcube.com/companies/investengine/pitches/Z5kr2q.
