Ingenico Enables PayPoint to take Contactless and Mobile Donations

Ingenico Group has teamed up with PayPoint to help enable contactless donations, including mobile (Apple Pay & Android Pay), from staff in order to raise funds for the Children In Need 2016 appeal.

Ingenico Group, the world leader in seamless payment, has teamed up with PayPoint to help enable contactless donations, including mobile (Apple Pay & Android Pay), from staff in order to raise funds for the Children In Need 2016 appeal.

PayPoint were joined at their Welwyn Garden City offices by none other than Pudsey Bear who took time out of his busy schedule to help with the fundraising efforts. Ingenico Group provided two of its industry leading wireless payment devices so Pudsey could take contactless payments from staff in a bid to help PayPoint raise money for the charity.

Ian Benn, Managing Director, Ingenico Northern Europe:

Ingenico has a proud history of involvement with charities and when PayPoint asked us to help with their Children in Need campaign, we were only too happy to support. As people carry less and less cash, contactless payments are making it easy for people to carry on being generous and we hope PayPoint can beat their previous years’ total for this fantastic cause.

Spokesperson, PayPoint:

We would like to thank Ingenico Group who have donated two credit and debit card PIN pads to allow us to take contactless payments for people wanting to donate, but who don’t carry cash. We are really pleased and excited to have been able to offer alternative payment solutions to our colleagues this year, in a way that is in line with our business technology.”

Last year PayPoint employees really got behind the fundraising efforts. We are hoping to do the same this year, especially with this new ability to take contactless payments.”
