StepChange Appoints New Chief Financial Officer Modaser Choudhary

StepChange is pleased to announce the appointment of Modaser Choudhary as its new Chief Financial Officer, who joined the charity in April.

Modaser brings over 20-years’ multi-sector experience across financial services, consulting, the charity sector and higher education. He has most recently been working as interim Chief Financial Officer for Everyturn, a national mental health charity and Advance Northumberland, a large local authority trading company.

Commenting on the appointment, StepChange CEO Vikki Brownridge, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Modaser to StepChange at a pivotal time following the launch of our new 2025-2030 strategy. His wealth of experience will be vital in helping us to deliver our strategic objectives and significant change for the charity.”

Modaser Choudhary said: “I’m really proud to join StepChange at such an exciting time for the charity as it embarks upon its new five-year strategic period. I’m looking forward to joining a talented team and using my expertise to help drive forward the charity’s key outcome of being a financially sustainable not-for-profit organisation.”
