Gini Receives Certifications: Software Hosted in Germany and Software Made in Germany
Gini, a leading company for data extraction from documents and known for photo transfers, now has two new certifications awarded by the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand eV: Software Hosted in Germany and Software Made in Germany. The BITMi eV is the representation of the IT middle class in Germany and the IT professional association, which only represents middle class interests.
Fulfillment of important security and user criteria
The seal of approval “Software Hosted in Germany” attests to security and trust in German law and is intended for manufacturers of software that provide usable online solutions that are particularly secure.
The software manufacturer must meet several decisive criteria for the seal. This includes hosting software and data in a data center in Germany. Neither software nor data are allowed to leave Germany unless the client requests it. In addition, German law and data protection law must apply to the hosting contract. Gini meets both criteria by operating its own data center in Germany.
The certification “Software Made in Germany” also goes hand in hand with various requirements that the manufacturer must guarantee. On the one hand, this applies to the service: If you have any questions about the product, there must be a German-speaking contact person. Sales, service and training partners are available locally and hotline numbers are staffed with German-speaking staff. On the other hand, the software designed in Germany is also tested in Germany and the program interfaces and instructions are multilingual or in German.
It is also crucial that the software is a safe investment. The compatibility of the programs and data must also be ensured in the future and the further development of the software must be contractually guaranteed.
“With the two certifications Software Hosted in Germany and Software Made in Germany, we are once again proving that we can develop secure and user-optimized solutions,” said Holger Teske, co-founder and CEO of Gini GmbH. “Our mission is to enable users to have magical moments that make everyday life easier. In doing so, we have a fundamentally high standard of data protection and security in our solutions, which we consistently implement. “
