Full Board Member Meeting of the ATM Security Association in June

Further outcome of the industry wide association to be expected within the next months

The ATM Security Association will hold its annual Full Member Board Meeting at the 7th of June in Delft/The Netherlands. Members of the industry association will discuss the main tasks to improve ATM security. The association’s aim is to compile information on recognized and potential attack scenarios on ATMs and share that information with specific industry groups to rapidly develop and implement countermeasures at a global level. Therefore, it builds a neutral and secure platform for the analysis of identified threats, delivers faster and more comprehensive information and shares knowledge on recognized attack scenarios and threats. Furthermore, the association works out proactive, cross-vendor recommendations on countermeasures. Based on these activities, one of the primary goals of the association is the creation of security standards focused on the self-service channel.

Members of the ATM Security Association are working closely together. Four working groups give the members the opportunity to influence the development of new security solutions and to be involved in standardization processes. At the Full Member Meeting stakeholders of the association’s working groups will report on the current status of their efforts and will outline the next steps to make progress on the objective of improving ATM security. Releasing dates of new outcomes of the working groups’ efforts like whitepapers, recommendations, etc. will be announced at the meeting. Next results are expected within the next months.
