Freedom Finance expands board with new Non-Executive Director

John-Paul Wilkins has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director at Freedom Finance, a fintech lending platform that uses smart sourcing to generate more personalised loan offers for customers.

J-P will play a key role in supporting the company in delivering its ambitious growth strategy over the years ahead.

As Managing Director of Runpath, J-P was instrumental in growing the business to become the pre-eminent trading platform that enabled many aggregators to enter financial services. He has extensive senior level experience supporting the growth of technology-led businesses that use proprietary and innovative technology. Bringing over 20 years of experience in financial services, J-P has relevant experience in deploying growth strategies underpinned by the effective use of data and technology to improve acquisition and retention. J-P was also instrumental in the Runpath acquisition by Experian.

In welcoming the appointment, Brian Brodie, CEO at Freedom Finance, said:

“J-P’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Freedom Finance, as we continue to expand our product offerings to help customers make better financial choices. J-P’s experience in this market perfectly complements the experience of the rest of the Freedom board and I very much look forward to working with J-P over the years ahead.”

J-P Wilkins, newly appointed Non-Executive Director, added:

“I remain convinced that the winners in this market will be businesses who use data and technology to make it easier for customers to access products of relevance to them. I am excited to work with an innovative and customer-centric team and look forward to supporting them in delivering Freedom Finance’s goal of becoming the pre-eminent consumer lending platform in the UK.”
