Former UKTI COO Ben Brabyn Named as New Head of Level39
Ben Brabyn, former COO of UKTI Innovation Gateway, named as the new Head of Level39.
Ben was selected after a long process of interviewing some incredible candidates and we’re delighted with the final outcome.
The Level39 vision is growing rapidly – and Ben is the perfect candidate to take us on the next phase of our growth plan.
Ben is a seasoned business advisor and founder. At UKTI he led the government team connecting UK startups with global investment. He has worked with more than 100 international venture capital, corporate venture and institutional investors, assisting more than 130 of the UK’s finest digital media, biotech and technology companies. Prior to UKTI, Ben has grown two of his own businesses.
Sir George Iacobescu CBE, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Canary Wharf Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ben into our team. He will be working with us on a full-time basis, bringing his professionalism and experience of the FinTech sector to bear at Level39. Ben will play an important role in helping shape the next phase of Canary Wharf Group’s evolution as a diversified developer and landlord, helping us to create next-generation business locations, fused with technology and an attractive lifestyle to match.”
Holding an MBA from Warwick Business School, Ben has also been a mentor at MassChallenge and Microsoft Ventures. Utilising his business expertise, he’s also held the position of analyst at leading investment bank JP Morgan.
Ben will be present at our upcoming members’ meetup – and of course our third-year celebrations later on this year.
