TransferGo appoints Monika Snitke as Chief Operations Officer
The international money transfer company, TransferGo has expanded its top-level executive structure to ensure the achievement of its business expansion goals. Monika Snitke, who previously led the financial operations team, has taken on the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO). Until October, these responsibilities were held by the company’s Co-Founder, Justinas Lasevičius, who will now act as Chief Product Officer.
“Monika has been with the company since the beginning. Not only has she created financial operations processes but she is also one of the key leaders shaping the company’s business processes, culture and team. We are currently planning a rapid customer growth phase, so it is crucial that we ensure service quality throughout the entire customer service cycle. Teams led by Monika have always stood out — not only for their business achievements but also for creating highly favourable conditions for talent growth, leadership and a culture of collaboration,” said Daumantas Dvilinskas, Co-Founder and CEO of TransferGo.
In Monika Snitkė’s division, there will be teams responsible for customer service, financial operations and business process management. With this structural change, the company aims to systematically ensure world-class service for their clients. Monika Snitkė, who studied Economics and Accounting at City University London, Cass Business School in the United Kingdom, became one of the first employees of TransferGo and has earned several professional awards in recent years. As a financial technology expert, she was included in the London City list of the most influential “fintech” women a few years ago.
Sharing her vision for the future, Monika says: “Eleven years ago, I joined TransferGo as the company’s second employee in London. Together with Justinas, we created and managed all operations — from accounting to customer calls. We developed, refined and automated systems. At this stage of the company’s growth, I seek to consolidate operational departments across all countries, ensure service quality for customers and share best practices in business management and culture promotion. In my work, I want to create an environment where people can not only accomplish business tasks but also feel valued and motivated to grow together with the company.”
Co-Founder, Justinas Lasevičius will now act as the Chief Product Officer and will focus most of his attention on product development, seeking the latest technological solutions and integrations.
TransferGo has been operating for over 11 years, providing its services to more than 6 million customers from 160 countries. The company aims to offer more accessible financial services to migrants, making international money transfers cheaper, simpler and faster. Currently, the company employs more than 350 people, with its main headquarters located in Vilnius and London.
