eXate and Aqua Global Announce Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Data Privacy and Governance Capabilities

eXate, a pioneer in data privacy, protection, and dynamic access control solutions, and Aqua Global, a long-established provider of financial messaging and transaction automation solutions, today announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enabling financial institutions to securely process, govern, and protect sensitive transaction data while meeting evolving regulatory requirements.

Aqua Global brings over 43 years of experience delivering financial messaging and transaction automation solutions for payments, treasury, and securities processing, integrating internal banking systems with external services through its high-performance Aquila orchestration and integration framework. Complementing this, eXate provides distributed data privacy and protection technology that embeds centralised, policy-driven controls directly into data ingestion and distribution points, enabling dynamic data masking, redaction, and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) across complex financial ecosystems.

This agreement comes at a time when banks face increasing pressure from global regulations, regional data protection laws, and emerging AI governance frameworks. As transaction volumes grow and ecosystems become more interconnected, financial institutions require privacy-by-design solutions that protect sensitive data across borders and jurisdictions.

Together, Aqua Global and eXate will help financial institutions simplify complexity, strengthen compliance, reduce operational risk, and accelerate transformation, without compromising performance, scalability, or control.

“At Aqua Global, our mission is to ensure our customers operate with complete confidence across the entire transaction lifecycle,” said Cian Fernando, CEO at Aqua Global. “Through our partnership with eXate, we are enhancing Aquila with embedded, best in class data protection that delivers enhanced control, transparency, and regulatory alignment without compromising performance.”

Peter Lancos, Co-founder and CEO of eXate, added: “Our mission at eXate is to simplify compliance while protecting data wherever it flows. Through our partnership with Aqua Global, we are embedding centralised data protection controls into critical financial messaging and transaction processing environments, ensuring security, compliance, and usability go hand in hand.”
