Ebury Appoints Klaus Hoffmann as Country Manager for Germany
Ebury, a global fintech that empowers businesses to trade and grow internationally, today announces the appointment of Klaus Hoffmann as Country Manager for Germany. Klaus will work closely with Ebury’s leadership and local team to support the business’ continued growth and expansion in Germany.
Over more than three decades, Klaus has served in a variety of senior leadership and non-executive director roles at many financial institutions within the FX vertical.
He is the founding partner of 2015 formed FX online service provider Giroxx, up to their acquisition by StoneX in 2020, where he subsequently became managing director of StoneX Financial GmbH Germany. He spent the first years of his career as an FX Dealer at Svenska Handelsbanken in Luxembourg and New York. Hoffman moved to Dresdner Bank in 1995 as Chief FX Dealer and Chief FX Dealer Spot in New York and Frankfurt until 2005.
After 10 years at Dresdner Bank which would become part of the Commerzbank group later in 2009, Hoffmann joined Commerzbank in 2005 as the Global Head of Foreign Exchange, Local Markets & Precious Metals. He also held the same position at WestLB from August 2009 onwards until 2014 before Giroxx was founded in 2015.
Klaus joins at an exciting moment in Ebury’s journey. The focus is on Ebury’s expansion in Germany and the building of a reliable partner for German SMEs operating from the offices in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. The business is strongly positioned for continued future expansion.
