Fintech expert Chris Skinner joins Mode’s Advisory board
Mode, the UK FinTech group planning to IPO on the London Stock Exchange next week, is pleased to announce that Chris Skinner will be joining the Company’s advisory board with immediate effect. Chris is well-known as an independent commentator on the financial markets and fintech through his blog, the Finanser.com, and as author of many bestselling books, the latest of which is Doing Digital, released in summer 2020.
Chris is also Chair of the European networking forum The Financial Services Club and Nordic Future Innovation. Chris will advise the executive team on Mode’s business strategy, as it builds out its digital banking app and further develops its payments and loyalty business.
Jonathan Rowland, Executive Chairman at Mode, said: “We’re delighted to have Chris on board. His reputation in fintech and his innovative thinking will help us advance Mode’s mission to transition the world to a wholly digital financial system.”
Chris Skinner said: “I’m excited by Mode’s proposition to transform analogue banking and payments ecosystems into a truly digital offering. Consumers and companies currently pay too high a price in terms of fees and frictions when they buy and sell goods and services. Integrating loyalty, payments and banking into one super-app is an exciting proposition that Mode is working upon.”
