Finantix further strengthens Asian and European capabilities with senior appointments in Singapore and the UK

Finantix, the leading global provider of trusted technology to the wealth management, insurance and banking industries, is pleased to announce two new senior hires in Asia Pacific and Europe with Michael Gantenbein joining as Account Delivery Director in Singapore and Gareth Williams as Business Development Director in the UK. These latest appointments follow the firm’s investments made in 2019 and are aimed at building out local teams in key locations to support closer relationships with clients.

According to a recent Forrester* report, wealth and investment management firms have been increasing their focus on digital technologies and seek ways to leverage these to improve customer experience as well as increase productivity for their advisors. The extensive and innovative portfolio of Finantix offerings has been developed with this in mind, combined with teams on the ground that can provide local expertise, knowledge and client support.

With over 20 years’ experience in the IT and financial services industry, Michael brings an array of skills to this new role including account management, software delivery, business development, team management and business process management in fintech, cloud and omni-channel technologies. Prior to joining Finantix, Michael held senior roles at Flowable, Soreco and Itartis. He also holds direct banking experience having served at Credit Suisse in various positions for over a decade. At Finantix, Michael will help drive growth as financial services firms in the region are increasingly embracing digital technologies in wealth management as a way to inject efficiency and automate proactive capabilities throughout the client lifecycle.

Damien Piper, Regional Director, Asia, at Finantix commented: “Finantix already has a strong presence in Asia with offices in Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong. This appointment is the next in a series of senior hires as part of our strategy to build local teams that really understand the region’s financial markets, local cultures and market dynamics. Our long-standing commitment to the region and our strong track record means we are well placed to help financial institutions leverage their existing and future investments in technology. Michael will play an important role in client relations and project management as we further execute major transformational digital programmes for our expanding customer base.”

Gareth joins Finantix with a rich history of wealth management and private banking experience, having worked for almost three decades in these industries including IT Director, Service Delivery Director and Programme Manager roles at Brewin Dolphin, Investec Wealth & Investment UK and Hambros Bank. Gareth joins the Business Development team based in London and will grow Finantix’s presence within the UK, assisting the R&D team to further enhance the firm’s core product suite, as well as providing account management to clients in this region.

Christine Ciriani, Chief Commercial Officer at Finantix, comments: “Our approach over the last twenty years has always been to combine technology with personalised client service. This is reflected in our product offering which allows wealth managers to be more productive and focus on value-added activities whilst also building up our teams in key markets to ensure they can not only be close to clients but also provide advice-based on local knowledge, experience and culture. We are very excited to be welcoming both Michael and Gareth to the Finantix family and look forward to an exciting year ahead”.
