Equifax on Forbes Top 100 List of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies”

For the third consecutive year, Equifax Inc. was named to Forbes Magazine’s Top 100 List of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies.”

At Equifax being innovative is an important element of our culture. It is the culmination of strategy, clearly-defined processes, and a first-class team that consistently delivers,” said Equifax Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard F. Smith. “Over the past decade, we have taken a deliberate approach to foster a culture of innovation within our company as our organic growth driver ensuring we deliver value to both our customers and consumers.”

Over the past 11 years, the 118-year-old company has transformed itself from a credit bureau to an insights leader, a strong data and analytics player who think more like an innovative start-up. At the core of this transformation are Equifax business units which consistently execute on strategic initiatives and leverage the company’s competitive position on a global scale.

Equifax technology embraces agile business that helps the company bring products and services to market faster to meet the expanding needs of its customers. Since 2012 Equifax has increased its patent filings by 100 percent with patents such as Neurodecision Technology™, a service offering for use in evaluating risk predictors with credit data, and other data, on the Equifax high-performance analytics platform. Additionally, Equifax offers a flexible technology ecosystem which can be repurposed without the need to constantly rebuild and customize. An example of this is InterConnect®, a cloud-based decisioning platform that helps to drive actionable insights for businesses.

In 2016, the company’s New Product Innovation (NPI) initiative introduced 53 products and saw NPI revenue increase 30 percent over 2015. NPI has proven to be a valuable and centralized discipline for product development and innovation on a global scale. This year, Equifax rolled out new offerings such as InstaTouch® ID, a consumer identity and authentication service, and Equifax Ignite™, a revolutionary portfolio of premier data and advanced analytics solutions powered by Cambrian, a proprietary Big Data and analytics environment.

In 2017, Equifax focused on expanding The Work Number® (TWN) – its employment and income verification service in the United States – internationally to Canada first and is currently exploring other geographies such as Australia and the U.K.

Each year since 2015, Equifax has risen on the Forbes Top 100 list – a clear indicator of the growth trajectory the company has embraced – one fuelled by innovation, talent, and a decisive drive to power the world with knowledge.
