Equifax Appoints Technology and Analytics Leader David Bernard as General Manager, UK&I, To Accelerate Growth and Innovation

Equifax UK, a leading credit reference agency, has appointed David Bernard as its new General Manager for the UK and Ireland. This strategic appointment highlights the Equifax commitment to expanding its market leadership and innovation in the region. 

David brings over 25 years of global leadership experience across B2B technology, data, fintech, edtech, healthtech and digital industries. His distinguished career includes pivotal roles at major global organisations and dynamic growth companies. Past positions have included Thomson Reuters, where he led various data and software businesses, and with another major credit reference agency, leading decisioning and analytics in the UK and Ireland and expanding it globally. More recently David has led growth-stage technology companies to drive their customer experience through innovation and AI enablement.

David’s appointment follows a period of significant milestones for Equifax in the UK&I, including successfully completing its ambitious Cloud transformation journey to become the first cloud-native UK credit bureau. The Equifax Cloud helps customers innovate faster, create more effective insights, take smarter actions, and deliver better outcomes at scale. In September, the company launched a new AI Innovation Lab in Wexford, dedicated to advancing the company’s global artificial intelligence research and development. Equifax UK also published its 2025 Financial Health Report, advocating for accelerating financial inclusion, and launched new solutions including its Business Intelligence Suite™ and the market-leading Financed Emissions CalculatorTM. Strategic partnerships with data-intelligence company Sagacity, and with Render (for a decisioning platform using bureau data and Open Banking insights), further underscore the dedication of Equifax to market-leading solutions. 

David Bernard’s appointment is effective as of 01 October 2025. He will be based in London, and lead the UK&I executive team. Bernard will report directly to Patricio Remon, President International.
