Eos Extends Partnership with Startupbootcamp InsurTech
Eos Venture Partners will be a partner to the Hartford InsurTech Hub powered by Startupbootcamp InsurTech.
Sam Evans, Founder and General Partner of Eos commented “We’re delighted to extend our existing relationship AND FUNDING COMMITMENT with SBC to their new program in the US. We’ve been working with SBC InsurTech in London and know through that experience that it’s a fantastic program with some great companies. In fact, we’ve invested in two SBC alumni, RightIndem and Insure A Thing”
Sabine VanderLinden, Managing Director of SBC InsurTech added “We’ve enjoyed working with the Eos team in London and look forward to levering their expertise in our new program. Having a dedicated InsurTech investor closely involved with the program adds a huge amount of value for the participating companies.”
Similar to the UK program, Eos will make up to $1m of capital available for participants of the program.
One of the four cornerstones underpinning the investment strategy at Eos is that innovation in insurance will be driven from all areas of the globe and therefore having a global footprint to capture opportunities is critical.
Jonathan Kalman, General Partner of Eos, based on the East Coast of the US added “Hartford is an important insurance center in the US and the key themes that will underpin the first program fit nicely with our investment strategy at Eos. We’re looking forward to being involved and mentoring the participating companies with the goal of being a lead or co-lead investor.”
