Elizabeth Gooch MBE appointed Export Champion by Department for International Trade
The Midlands Engine Trade Summit takes place today, Thursday 9 March, at The Vox in Birmingham
The Department for International Trade has appointed Elizabeth Gooch, CEO of eg solutions and the pioneer of back-office workforce optimisation solutions, as an Export Champion by the Department of International Trade.
The appointment was announced by International Trade Minister Mark Garnier and was timed to coincide with the first Midlands Engine Trade Summit, taking place today, 9 March at The Vox in Birmingham.
Changing the way businesses interact with their people and customers, export has been at the heart of the company’s strategy since 2006. Today eg has an international client base of some of the world’s most customer centric businesses. eg have been engaging people to better manage customer demand wherever they may be in the world, including India, South Africa, Singapore, Manila, Europe and the USA, delivering guaranteed improvements in customer service and at the same time, reducing costs.
The first Midlands Engine Trade Summit aims to help businesses across the region grow by offering inspiration alongside practical advice.
The day features a range of high profile speakers and interactive practical events, and will provide a great opportunity for businesses to find out about the support on offer to grow a business by exploring new markets.
Keynote speakers include Sir John Peace and Department for International Trade Minister, Mark Garnier as well as a series of workshops such as “Exporting, is it for me?” There is also the opportunity to set up one to ones with international trade, industry and market experts.
As an Export Champion Elizabeth will be sharing her experiences of exporting to benefit other businesses. Elizabeth said;
