École polytechnique and HEC Paris partner with Coinhouse to create a blockchain and cryptoasset curriculum
The rising demand to understand blockchain technology is getting stronger every day in Europe. L’École polytechnique and HEC Paris (respectively best engineering and business school in France) have created a new 50-hour common course entitled ‘’Blockchain and Cryptoassets’’, started September 2018 to answer their students demand. To ensure a successful conduct of the courses, the two schools partnered with Coinhouse to benefit from their expertise.
Blockchain and cryptoassets are creating unprecedented opportunities to level the playing field for European startups and corporates. The course taught by the Coinhouse research team will be offered to students following the ‘’MS HEC Entrepreneurs’’ and the ‘’MSc Deep Tech’’ at l’École polytechnique.
A 3-month program including scientific research and a start-up project
Coinhouse will provide a multidisciplinary program, mixing scientific knowledge with programming skills and economic analysis. Students from L’École polytechnique and HEC Paris attending this 3-month program will then participate in a 6-month academic exchange at UC Berkeley in California starting in January 2018.
During the program, students will have to initiate a project using blockchain technology. Coinhouse will help them build a coherent project that solves a real problem. Some of the courses will be delivered by researchers or entrepreneurs active in the European blockchain industry.
Coinhouse’s expertise is being recognized in this new field
Blockchain and crypto-assets are transforming our technology landscape. It is poised to change traditional business systems and to create a whole new ecosystem. Future champions like Coinhouse, Ledger or Blockchain.com are recruiting profiles that can master this innovative technological stack with new job openings such as Altcoin integrator, ICO analyst or Blockchain engineer.
Coinhouse quickly took a leadership within the industry, providing conferences and training for a large public. The company has put a lot of efforts into the instructive material as well as regulation and compliance topics, which is highly appreciated by the French crypto community. By developing these topics, Coinhouse deserves its status of ‘’the most trusted player within the French crypto industry’’
This new course offered by the École polytechnique, HEC and Coinhouse will help fight the talent shortage in the sector by attracting students with scientific, mathematical and economic backgrounds.
“Blockchain technology went viral, but behind the buzzword, its disruptive potential is outstanding, it can change fundamental aspects of our societies: authentication, transfers…’’ explains Bruno Martinaud, MSc Deep Tech Director at the École polytechnique.
‘’We are proud to contribute to the educational program of École polytechnique and HEC Paris to give France the opportunity to succeed in this new technological shift. I hope, it will encourage vocations within French students who will be the successful entrepreneurs of tomorrow’’ declares Nicolas Louvet, CEO at Coinhouse
