Discover Global Network to Perform Contactless D-PAS Card Application Certification
UL is proud to announce that Discover® has accredited UL to perform functional type approval services for the Discover D-Payment Application Specification (D-PAS) on contactless card application. This service is now available from UL’s UK laboratory.
Card vendors implementing D-PAS must undergo testing and verification to ensure compliance. The functional requirements for this verification are defined in the Discover Type Approval Process. As part of this accreditation, UL will be able to assist customers with this verification, ensuring the global interoperability and compliance with Discover Contactless Card Application Specification.
Erwin Jansen, Managing Director EMEA/LA at UL’s Transaction Security division, said: “We are very pleased with the expansion of our Discover test services portfolio, which adds to our one-stop shop strategy for the accredited certification services we offer for different brands and industry organizations. This accreditation will complement existing D-PAS contact card certification services and will greatly benefit our customers, as it will streamline the certification process, reduce time to market, and enable interoperable and compliant devices.”
