Did You Hear How Lord Turner U-Turned on His Comments on The P2P Industry?

Two weeks ago at Lendit Europe, they had the honour to have Lord Adair Turner deliver a keynote presentation at LendIt Europe 2016. Everyone was looking forward to hear what he had to say about the industry – and boy were we surprised!
In February, Turner, the former top banking regulator in the U.K. caused quite a controversy when he said “the losses which will emerge from peer-to-peer lending over the next five to 10 years will make the bankers look like lending geniuses.”
It turns out, Turner has changed his perspective on peer-to-peer lending. He said that peer-to-peer lending platforms could actually help reduce the risk of a future financial crisis.

GoldenPeaks Capital (“GPC”), one of Europe’s fastest‑growing independent producers of renewable energy, has signed a long‑term Pay‑as‑Nominated Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Hankook Tire & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter Hankook), the Korean premium tire manufacturer and a global leader in advanced mobility solutions. This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening renewable energy sourcing and decarbonising Hungary’s industrial sector. This is GoldenPeaks Capital’s largest PPA deal in Hungary so far.
