Crypto Exchange Gate.io Launches New Program to Support Students in Remote Areas, Donates GTs from its $18.5 M Fund
Leading blockchain assets exchange platform, Gate.io has launched a charity program “Love Travels, Love Nurtures”, to address education needs of the student community in remote areas across Asia.
The program will set aside thousands of GTs (GateChain Token) from its GT Safety and Law Fund to donate clothes and other essential education supplies to over 200 schools in remote areas across Asia in the next one year. As a part of the program, Gate.io will also support similar initiatives across the region to help as many students as possible.
“In the cryptocurrency space, people come together to create and deliver value. Being a part of the ecosystem, Gate.io is always excited to look for ways to spread this idea within the community and beyond,” Marie Tatibouet, CMO at Gate.io said in a statement.
“With this belief in mind, we are introducing our new charity program, “Love travels, Love nurtures” with a mission to improve the lives of children and provide them with necessary education needs. Gate.io will donate GTs from its GT Safety and Law Fund to the children living in remote parts of Asia,” she concluded.
The company has already launched its first project of “Love travels, Love nurtures” program in Daliang Mountains, Sichuan where Gate.io donated over 5,000 GTs to one of the primary schools. These GTs were used to distribute clothes, computers, books and other essential items to the students.
As part of Gate.io’s charity program, the team is also assessing partnership possibilities with similar initiatives or events in Asia.
