CivilisedBank appoints commercial finance expert Nick Baker as Head of Intermediaries

CivilisedBank (‘the Bank’), the digital SME bank with relationship managers, announces the appointment of commercial finance expert Nick Baker as Head of Intermediaries.

Nick joins from a national commercial mortgage broker, where he was Managing Director for five years and where he was responsible for day-to-day operations and the development of the business. He led the business in achieving full FCA Permissions and securing notable industry recognition for the company. He is also an Enterprise Mentor with The Prince’s Trust.

At CivilisedBank Nick will primarily focus on leading the development and execution of the bank’s Introducer Strategy, supporting the delivery of market leading commercial products and spearheading the relationship with the bank’s intermediary partners. CivilisedBank is building a digital SME bank which, when launched in 2019, will offer business customers access to experienced banking experts, finance solutions and effortless digital banking that make their business lives easier.

Focused on the UK SME market and funded by SME and retail savings, CivilisedBank will serve businesses through working capital solutions and cash management, including loans, asset finance, savings and payment services. CivilisedBank will also address the UK retail market with a range of savings products.
