Citi appoints new Head of EMEA Payments and Receivables, Treasury & Trade Solutions
Citi have appointed Mark McNulty as Head of Payments and Receivables (P&R) EMEA, Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS).
With over 20 years’ experience in payments and transaction banking, Mark succeeds Ireti Ogbu who transitioned to her role as Citi Country Officer in Nigeria. In his new role, Mark will be responsible for building and delivering successful and innovative solutions for digital payments and collections.
He will spearhead clearing transformation and cutting-edge digitization of the business, commercialize P&R digital capabilities, and drive the evolution of the TTS business and operating model. Mark will work to strengthen TTS EMEA’s ability to maintain and deepen client relevance and increase Citi’s market leadership in transaction banking across all 55 EMEA countries.
Mark joined Citi in 1999 and has held numerous roles across the organization, including within Client Operations and Finance, before moving to TTS Product Management in 2006 to lead the European Funds Transfer Payments product team in Citibank Europe plc. In his most recent role, Mark led the Global Clearing and FI payments team and was responsible for the continued growth, development and transformation of the FI Payments product set.
Prior to that, Mark was the EMEA Clearing and FI Payments Head. Throughout his career, Mark has represented Citi on numerous industry bodies and currently serves on the Fedwire Wholesale Payments Advisory Group. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University College Dublin.
Mark will begin his transition to the new role and will fully take over from 1st January 2021. The search for his successor will commence shortly.
