Cardtronics Launches New Self-service Solutions

Believing a deeper partnership between financial institutions and ATM specialists is the way forward as the UK and worldwide banking industry re-shapes its physical networks – Cardtronics is offering up its new OnATM solution suite at the “ATM and Cash Innovation Europe” event.

Helping to ensure local access to basic banking services across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, the OnATM solutions are a suite of secure, on-demand automated services for financial institutions that want to offer convenient ATM and self-service banking access to communities, while simultaneously freeing up resources for banks to focus on developing their digital channels.

Cardtronics Chief Executive Officer Steve Rathgaber, who will present at the event on the increasingly important partnerships between ATM specialists and banks, commented:

As part of the OnATM offer, Cardtronics has developed the new OnHub solution to ensure that local UK and European communities have convenient day-to- day access to basic banking services. OnHub is a machine-based transaction centre for consumers to withdraw or deposit cash, while businesses can use it to make deposits utilising business bag drops and stock up on change.

Banks can subscribe to the OnHub service, which operates on the high street under the name ‘Bankzone’, and gives individual consumers and merchants the benefit of a physical presence outside the reach of their bank branch networks. In some instances, the transaction hubs will be overseen by in-store representatives who provide guidance and assistance on the customer’s request.

In addition to this, Cardtronics has launched its OnBranch services, through which banks are able to outsource management of their on and off-branch cash machines – providing them the benefit of a worldwide network of expertise and unmatched economies of scale. With UK banks continuing to reduce their branch footprint to a lean network of key locations, Cardtronics’ OnBranch solution allows banks to focus on delivering core services, which often require face-to- face interaction, while other services such as cash machine management and operations are managed by Cardtronics.

The OnATM offer also includes access to the world’s largest network of surcharge-free cash machines (USA-focused Allpoint) and bank-branded retail ATM solutions (OnPoint). Cardtronics’ OnATM solutions already serve over 2,300 financial institutions worldwide.
