Bunq challenger lets you create joint accounts with others
Bunq is a dutch challenger bank present since 2012 and it is already live across 30 countries. Last month it has come up with a very new feature for their premium subscribers.
The “Bunq+1” option is not just a subaccount as such since it lets you create a joint account with anybody, even people who don’t use bunq yet.
To be able to reach this feature, one has to be either bunq premium subscriber or have the SuperGreen sort of “superpremium” subscription with which bunq offers to plant a tree every time you spend €100. This has already made bunq plant about 100.000 trees in 4 months.

The fee is €7.99 for a Bunq Premium subscription. And the main Bunq account holder pays €2.99 per month for each +1 account. With Bunq+1 users will be able to create an account for anyone they want to, including partners and children. Bunq Premium users can also create up to 25 sub-accounts for free.
Bunq+1 business users will be able to create accounts for employees helping them track expenses and company spending easily. Every new user will receive his/her own card and will be able to spend and deposit money freely.

Bunq was founded by Ali Niknam. He was an avid programmer since childhood and studied computer science at the Delft University of Technology. He has launched the web-hosting startup TransIP in 2003 when he was only 21 years old.
With his money from TransIP Niknam was able to launch bunq. This was done without a cent of venture capital funding, something almost none of its competitors have managed.
“At bunq, we are inspired by our users to create new features that make life easier.” claims Niknam.
“By listening to their feedback we have developed this elegant solution that makes shared finances easy for children, (co-)workers and partners all in one go,” he added.
