BSO Drives International Network Performance Management

State-of-the-art network monitoring technology empowers operator to optimize low-latency connectivity for financial exchanges

BSO, the global Ethernet network, cloud and hosting provider, announces it has partnered with Accedian, the end-to-end network performance experts, to enhance network monitoring capabilities and improve client services.

Built on the very best submarine and long-haul terrestrial cable systems on the market, BSO has upgraded to Accedian’s state-of-the-art, cutting-edge technology across its international premium low-latency network. The network monitoring capabilities provided by Accedian will allow BSO to monitor and compare multi-vendor, long-haul infrastructure to dynamically determine the lowest latency and most reliable service for clients.

BSO’s partnership with Accedian is part of an on-going review of technology partners, seeking market leaders differentiated by performance and innovation. BSO made the strategic decision to partner with Accedian based on its reputation and ability to offer the most advanced technical solution to meet the demands of BSO’s customers. Recently recognised as Best Technology Enabler at the 2016 GSMA GLOMO Awards, Accedian beat strong competition and was rewarded for its ability to provide a real-time, network-wide view of performance and measurement of ultra-low latency with microsecond precision.

Accedian shares BSO’s desire to push the limits of innovation and provide best-in-class performance to customers. As pressure on international routes and networks grows daily, it’s essential that BSO is able to meet its customers’ insatiable demand for content delivered in ‘real time’,” says Peter Newcombe, VP Sales EMEA at Accedian. “Accedian’s unique technology processes every data packet at line speed to identify potential performance bottlenecks and ensure that customers are provided with the best possible, lowest latency routes available. We look forward to working with BSO to ensure its clients continue to receive first-class networks.”

Using Accedian’s network visibility and assurance technology, BSO can transparently provide clients with real-time insight into capacity management, usage, bandwidth, latencies, packet loss and other performance indicators. BSO’s international footprint is instrumented edge-to-edge—taking visibility beyond the core—to deliver assured performance over tailored, custom-engineered networks that exceed offerings available from any single provider. This is made possible by aggregating infrastructure from multiple providers to provide premium international routes.

Flexibility of network services is the future, and we plan to be at the forefront of this progression,” explains Michael Ourabah, CEO at BSO. “Accedian’s advanced network monitoring will allow us to be even more proactive and transparent with our clients; we can tell them in real-time if they need to upgrade or downgrade capacity based on their usage, or even support migration across cable systems to ensure the best performance fit for our clients. Very few providers meet this extra level of service—and it’s offerings like this that make BSO a global leader within the industry.”
