Bristol Fintech Event a Success

Bristol business people interested in the financial technology industry gathered at the city’s second specialist event last week.

Entrepreneurs and business owners attended the Bristol FinTech event where experts were on hand to help provide the answer to business challenges faced in the sector.

A five-way collaboration between Barclays, Clarke Willmott LLP, Deepbridge Capital, Hargreaves Lansdown and PwC, the event followed the successful first ever event last year which has helped cement Bristol  as one of the cities leading the FinTech revolution.

Philippa Hann of Clarke Willmott said: “The second Bristol FinTech event was a great success and saw some top businesses in the region come together to get the creative juices flowing and talk about working together in financial technology.

The whole discussion is really gaining momentum and we’re now gearing up for the next event which is to be held on July 5. Topics for this event will be decided and announced nearer the time.”

Chris Worle of Hargreaves Lansdown gave the keynote talk on the challenges that the firm faced in becoming the UK’s number one online investment service, as well as the future challenges that will be faced in retaining their position as a leading FinTech firm.
