Bitcoin.com Launches New Lightning-Fast Bitcoin Wallet App

Bitcoin.com announced that their new Bitcoin wallet app is available for users to download globally on Google Play and iOs stores. Among new updates included in the mobile app is InstantPay, a new feature which completes bitcoin cash payments in less than a second, making it faster than traditional payment methods and other existing Bitcoin wallets.

Bitcoin.com CEO Stefan Rust highlighted, “Censorship-resistant peer-to-peer cash is now lightning fast through our wallet app. InstantPay, an all-new wallet feature which is exclusive to bitcoin cash, lets you make payments in a split second. These payments outpace Visa and MasterCard, making our wallet app faster than any other.”

InstantPay delivers a seamless payment experience through the bitcoin.com wallet app allowing users to  complete transactions instantly at online and physical retailers that accept bitcoin cash.

To use this new feature , the user simply needs to set up a spending threshold in the app before performing a transaction and then the BCH payment can be completed instantly once the recipient’s QR code has been scanned.

Bitcoin.com believes the increased speed will result in more customers choosing bitcoin cash as their preferred choice of payment. In addition to speed, the new wallet app introduces other new and improved features including:

• Credit Card Deposits: The wallet lets users manage BCH and BTC in one secure integrated application, and allows them to purchase BCH and BTC using a credit card.

• SLP Token Management: Users can send, receive, and store thousands of different SLP tokens from anywhere in the world, with private keys stored by the user.

• Personal Customization: Within the Settings section, users can customize their accounts to their liking with new options. They have introduced a personal notes mechanism, which allows users to leave notes on individual transactions. Fingerprint identification and facial recognition are also now available to ensure that only the primary person can access the account. Customizable transaction speed settings have also been introduced, which can be used to delay payment confirmation.

• Discover Section: A new maps interface that allows users to locate nearby merchants that accept Bitcoin Cash for payments.
