BANKING ON MOBILITY: N26 partners with Lime to help Londoners navigate urban life

N26 today announces a new partnership with leading micro-mobility company, Lime. N26 customers can now enjoy unlimited half-price rides on Lime e-bikes across Lime’s two UK locations – London and Milton Keynes – making it even simpler for customers to navigate the urban environments with ease. The partnership is a global first for both N26 and Lime, who celebrate a shared vision of bringing freedom and ease to modern urban travel.

From today, people who bank with N26 can use their card on the Lime app to immediately benefit from a 50% discount on all rides until 5 December 2019. Those without an N26 account who would like to avoid sticky summer tube rides or rush-hour transport can open an account for free in order to access the benefits.

Our mission is to reimagine the way that people move around their cities, and we are always looking for ways to enhance our rider experience and offer new benefits.” said David Richter, Chief Business Officer at Lime. “We’re excited to partner with N26, a company that shares our mobile-first approach. Whether you are an avid Lime user or a first-time rider, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the freedom and flexibility of mobility in a sustainable and more affordable way.

N26 and Lime are aligned in their goals to redefine urban life for millions of people across the globe. Like Lime, N26 gives customers the freedom to serve their daily financial and lifestyle needs. As a result, Lime and N26 have amassed loyal customer bases across Europe and experienced exponential growth, making this partnership a natural step.

We believe that personal banking should be flexible, transparent and on your terms. And the same should be true for urban transport.

“In partnering with Lime, N26 offers customers exclusive benefits and addresses the increasing popularity of micro-mobility services which have become an everyday habit for many of our current and future customers, who wish to avoid the rush-hour crush and travel on their own terms.” said Daniel Calvert, Head of Partnerships at N26.

While Lime and N26 encourage customers to take advantage of this sustainable mode of transport, users must always remain safe. When riding an e-bike, be sure to:

  • Wear a helmet
  • Conduct a pre-ride safety check
  • Ride safely and use the brakes to slow down or stop
  • Be mindful of road obstructions
  • Always follow traffic laws
  • Park properly by the curbside
