Bank South Pacific Moves Forward With Euronet ITM For Samoa, Tonga & Cook Island
Euronet Software Solutions, a division of leading electronic payments provider Euronet Worldwide, Inc, today announced that as part of Bank South Pacific’s recent acquisition of Westpac Bank’s operations in Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands, Bank South Pacific has chosen to retain the existing Euronet ITM Payment Hubs in these locations.
The acquisition of these locations is part of Bank of South Pacific’s (BSP) regional growth strategy to expand its presence across the Pacific. Additionally, BSP has taken steps to acquire Westpac’s operations in the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, pending regulatory approval.
“BSP has the largest fleet of POS and ATM devices in the Pacific Islands. As such, the ability to provide BSP with a solution that securely, accurately and efficiently serves this large, geographically dispersed territory is paramount,” said Cindy Ashcraft, Vice President of Euronet Worldwide and Managing Director for Euronet Software Solutions.
“We’re honored that BSP has chosen to continue with ITM. We look forward to working with BSP, ensuring a smooth transition as ITM is integrated with their other regional operational assets.”
