Azimo Wins Judges Overall Favourite at 2017 RemTECH Awards

Azimo has been awarded the Judges Overall Favourite Award in last night’s 2017 Remittance Innovation Awards (The RemTECH Awards).

Taking place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City in celebration of today’s International Day of Family Remittances, the RemTECH Awards showcase the best in innovation surrounding ideas, models and projects designed to improve remittance services worldwide.

The award was judged by an independent panel who selected Azimo for the top award, based on its ease of use and adoption. The winners were announced at the Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development (GFRID2017) organised by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the World Bank and the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA).

Michael Kent, CEO and Founder of Azimo collected the award, and said “At Azimo we pride ourselves on helping customers better manage their money and are committed to providing a service that is simple and quick to use, so we are delighted to have won the Judges Overall Award in recognition of this. International Day of Family Remittances is really important in recognising the significant financial contribution migrant workers make to the wellbeing of their families back home and to the sustainable development of their countries of origin, of which Azimo is a huge supporter”.
