Aviva Singlife appoints new CEO to its investment arm, Navigator Investment Services Ltd
Navigator Investment Services Ltd (“NISL”) is pleased to announce that it is appointing Akhil Doegar as CEO from 3rd December 2021. Navigator is an integrated investment platform by Aviva, a leading insurance and investment provider in Singapore.
Mr. Doegar joins the company from DBS Bank, where he spent some 17 years in various roles, most recently as Managing Director and Head of the Digital Payments Group. He was a founding member of DBS Group’s Digital Bank in India and Indonesia, and has deep expertise in payments and platforms with a track record in P&L Management, building strong teams and driving change. NISL owns both Navigator and Dollardex, which are integrated investment platforms for financial advisers and investors, and makes investing experience simpler, better and smarter. With partnerships extending to both local and internationally renowned fund managers, Navigator takes pride in offering an impressive range of quality funds managed by world-class investment talent. In his new role, Mr. Doegar will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy to take this homegrown business regional.
Chairman of NISL, Kim Rosenkilde said: “Navigator’s ambition is to become a regional player, offering services to the financial ecosystem leveraging innovation to strengthen financial wellbeing. Akhil has spent much of his career advancing the adoption of new technologies in payments and platforms. He has always worked in the areas of change and driving innovation. Mr. Doegar explained how he sees the role: “This is a rare opportunity, to take a homegrown financial wellbeing platform, which operates across investments and insurance, build a technology-focused strategy, and find a better way to serve investors and the entire financial ecosystem. It is simply a challenge I could not resist.”
Mr. Doegar has a BSc degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and obtained his International MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.
