Amazon Alexa Introduces Wochit’s Trending Content to its Platform

Predictive video creation platform™ Wochit today announced integration with Amazon’s Alexa Cloud Based Voice Service as well as several significant product enhancements, giving its customer base new tools with which to engage audiences with timely content delivered across the platforms they desire. The added features empower publishers and brands with the ability to rapidly create unique and compelling short-form content while the Alexa integration offers audiences hands-free access to the top news and content of the day.

Wochit’s new news “skill”– Amazon’s word for an Alexa voice app — is consolidated with flash briefings, streamlining access to audio and video clips. From the home screen of the Amazon Show, via voice command, Amazon UK allows users the ability to access and create videos for their most popular categories.

To request the latest news anytime, UK users can simply say “Alexa, show me the latest in… Technology/entertainment/finance….” The content available is deep linked exclusively from Wochit, which includes videos created by Wochit’s in-house producers, as well as content from the company’s extensive list of publisher partners. The cutting-edge update from Wochit has also been incorporated in the latest version of the Amazon Dot and Amazon Echo.

With the Alexa integration, Wochit is anticipating the voice-powered future of search, content consumption and e-commerce by bringing its curated collections of news, politics, sports and entertainment videos to millions of Alexa device owners. Each day, the company provides hundreds of fresh videos, all created to specifically cater to audiences’ growing demand for concise, up-to-the-minute coverage of top news and events.

“The rise of voice-powered devices is just the latest in the continuing evolution of consumer-media interaction, and the pace of adoption is a strong indicator that voice platforms should be part of any content creator’s strategy,” stated Dror Ginzberg, co-founder and CEO of Wochit. “We’re proud to be at the forefront of content delivery to these devices, and we look forward to developing new ways to leverage our clients’ content through Alexa search to drive engagement and even sales.”
