Adventure Bar Group Bolsters Workers’ Financial Wellbeing with Hastee

Adventure Bar Group, the vibrant cocktail chain behind some of central London’s most popular nightspots, has implemented Hastee’s Earnings on Demand workplace wellbeing benefit which enables staff to access a portion of their pay as soon as they’ve earned it.

The bar chain currently has eight venues across London including rooftop Bar Elba in Waterloo; Blame Gloria and The Escapologist in Covent Garden; Tonight Josephine bars located in Waterloo and Shoreditch, and will be soon opening the hotly anticipated Lost Alhambra in Leicester Square . The chain’s staff now have the freedom to access a portion of their earnings at any point between pay days via Hastee’s award-winning smartphone app.

Hastee’s workplace wellbeing solution provides an ethical and responsible alternative to using high cost credit which 82% of the UK’s workers use to source additional funds between pay days according to the company’s 2019 Workplace Wellbeing Study. The study also found that just 21% of workers in the UK feel they are able to budget and live within their means. A direct link between financial stress and mental health has been highlighted by mental health charity MIND and the NHS. On-demand access to earnings helps workers balance their incomings with their outgoings, reduce financial stress and enjoy better wellbeing.

“The wellbeing of our staff is a vital element in sustaining our reputation for great nights out in London and a current focus for the business to be the best employer in Hospitality,” said Tobias Jackson, Co-Founder of the Adventure Bar Group. “Hastee’s workplace wellbeing solution and financial education resource will provide our hardworking staff with the financial freedom they deserve and help us as a business continue to operate with a thriving and highly engaged workforce.”

“We’re delighted the Adventure Bar Group has selected Hastee to help improve the wellbeing of its workforce,” said Hastee CEO and founder James Herbert. “We’re seeing more and more employers embracing the fact that financial wellbeing not only supports workers in reducing financial stress and leading fulfilling lifestyles, but also helps ensure they’re fully engaged at work. For hospitality businesses this will help to facilitate the best possible customer experiences.”
