Junaid Wahedna, Founder & CEO of Wahed, sits down with FF News’ Douglas Mackenzie for a conversation about Wahed and their approach to regulatory compliance in the modern financial ecosystem.
“We actually had to get used to an entire compliance culture so to speak. There is no decision taken in any department without people keeping in mind ‘does this affect compliance?’. We have dedicated compliance officers in each country. We have an independent risk team that internally audits all the compliance. It’s an excessive compliance culture, but you have to be. It’s a very large responsibility.”
