Volante’s Rachel Hunt on the Impact of Real-Time Payments on Financial Organisations
Rachel Hunt, VP of Strategy and Growth at Volante Technologies chats to FF News’ Ali Paterson about the recent innovations in Real-Time Payments and the impact these could have on traditional financial institutions.
“I think that generally the more participants and stakeholders you have, the more innovation you get and certainly some of the big fintechs that have provided innovation in that space are looking to see how they can have a role in that ecosystem”
“There’s also a role for the banks to be able to work with the broader ecosystem of players and provide offerings to their own customers. That again is a big change and it’s going back to what is my core business that a lot of banks are partnering with non-bank and financial service providers.”
“If you think about the B2B payment space, this is where there’s a huge amount of value to create, and actually where innovation starts with the consumer base because that’s where you can resolve specific pain points. Really the margins and opportunity for growth is in the B2B payment space”
