FF News spoke to Steve Naudé, Head of Wise Platform, regarding how Wise fits into the fintech ecosystem.

Wise, is a fintech company that offers online money transfer and currency exchange services with transparent fees and real-time exchange rates. It has revolutionised the way people send and receive money internationally, processing over $6 billion in cross-border transactions each month.

“A number of banks have done an awesome job in looking at their tech stack and realise that for them to succeed, they’re going to have to work with more third parties and more partners if they want to be able to serve these 200 products to their customers.”

“Banks are typically a domestic focused entity looking after their customers in one country. Is this really going to be your USP? If not, spend the time on the things that really matter to your customer base and let Wise, or somebody else, take care of these other services that you need to offer.”
