Revolutionising Insurance with AI: Insights from QBE Ventures and Emerging Technology

We spoke with Simon Pink, UK Head of Emerging Technology at QBE Ventures, to discuss how insurers are planning on using artificial intelligence to make positive developments within the industry.

“One of our portfolio companies, Hyperscience, have proved to be incredibly valuable to our claims business in being able to ingest thousands of documents, be that emails, PDFs or even handwritten documents, being able to extract the relevant features for a particular claim from that.”

“One of our portfolio companies, Tensorflight, uses AI to read images. You can give it an address; it will find that address, it will find all the publicly available images around that address and extract salient features.”
