At Finovate Europe 2023 in London, the FF News team sat down with Phillip Wood, Regional Sales Manager at Facephi. Facephi provides digital identity verification and specialises in digital onboarding and biometric authentication solutions. They aim to create more secure, accessible and fraud-free digital processes.

“In terms of the EMEA market, it’s quite well established. There are a lot of what you would call eKYC or biometrics organizations out there. The customers we’re working with, whether that’s a crypto platform or an international airport. When they get hold of the sandbox and they’re testing out the solution, they’re wowed by how good the user experience is. In other words, how intuitive the interfaces are and how easily the tech captures their details.”

“We’re actually instantly capturing those details both from the document and then the customers face, but then in additional in the background we have a number of other checks such as AML, sanctions and any other databases that we need to connect to that can be running checks on the individual.”
