Mike Green – BMO – FIX Nordic Trading Conference 2023

We spoke to Mike Green, who runs Electronic Trading in Europe for the Bank of Montreal, at the FIX Nordic Trading Conference in Stockholm. Although lesser known in Europe, the influence of the eighth largest bank in the world in the US and Canada make the move a big one.

Having launched electronic trading in Europe in 2022 they are now on their way to replicating their success in North America. The product has access to European and UK equities and Mike explains that both broker/dealer and institutional clients have a unique opportunity.

“We’ve come to market with new, innovative technology that provides clients with transparency around algorithmic trading in a way that we think is unique.”

Clients can see how the algorithm is behaving as well as experience real time performance updates and customisation. It’s something they were pleased to bring to FIX where brokers, vendors and clients alike are brought together.
