Mambu’s Simon Hammerschmidt Discusses The Trend To Reevaluate Buy-Now-Pay-Later
Simon Hammerschmidt, Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at Mambu, talks to FF News about the recent trends in the Buy-Now-Pay-Later space and how that section of the fintech industry may perform differently in the years to come.
“Certainly in the UK Market, I’m seeing headlines about people paying their bills via pay later. You know Iceland, one of the big retail outlets in the UK is offering buy-now-pay-later on grocery shopping and you kind of look at the moral side of that and say, well are you actually recreating some of that? Some of that credit that caused problems in the early days when we had a credit crisis. I think it’s an interesting moral dilemma given the current macroeconomic situation we’re in.”
