Mambu’s Justus Roux Reveals Why It’s Critical To Build A Modern Bank With Cloud Technology

Justus Roux, Solutions Engineering Manager at Mambu, sits down with FF News’ Douglas Mackenzie for a discussion about the role of cloud technology when it comes to building a bank. Justus reveals why he believes it’s not just important to utilise cloud technology, it’s a necessity.

“If we think about various different markets, you have an institutional void that you bridge by going into the cloud by not trying to have something on-premises, with the licensing arrangements and the time that consumes. You need to get speed to market.”

“So for us, the cloud is just a given and it’s here to stay. I think all of us will use OneDrive and Google Drive as part of our day-to-day basis. Why don’t we do that in terms of development? Everything is in GitHub already there. So it’s not just important [to build with the cloud], it’s a necessity and we will look back in 10 years’ time and say ‘yeah, that was so obvious’.”
