Julian Butterworth – Nasdaq – FIX Nordic Trading Conference 2023
Over in Stockholm for the FIX Nordic Trading Conference 2023, we caught up with Julian Butterworth: MD, Head of European Sales at Nasdaq. Nasdaq is the 2nd largest stock exchange by market capitalization of shares traded and owns the Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen Stock Exchanges.
“I think from an exchange perspective and an MTF perspective, equity market share is very topical. In the Nasdaq Nordic Markets, we have around 70% equity market share for LIT & Auction trading, and we are with all exchanges and all MTFs, very passionate about the market share that they have.”
“What everyone I think has been doing a good job at is providing market quality statistics & member analytics to our members to really encourage them to trade more on our exchanges and MTFs.”
