At Finovate Europe 2023, we were joined for a conversation by Johan Hartikainen, the Chief Commercial Officer of StockRepublic. StockRepublic is a Swedish startup that creates social investment platforms for banks & brokers.

“We come from our banking background where we came to realize a big problem for customers of the bank, is to know what to buy and when. We still hear that as the biggest problem today. While we were at banks, we saw that there’s a lot of data and that’s really good to give some guidance to customers. We can look at who are the best at actually doing investment over time, and usually, that’s the top 10% who are really good with their money.”

“If we can show the rest of ‘not as good’ investors, then there will be good guidance for them and kind of help them along the way of taking better investment advice. Which in the end, gives better returns.”
